First United Tabernacle Church of Jesus Christ, Apostolic, inc.,
Profile of: First Lady Paulette Patricia Faulknor
Sister Paulette accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the early age of thirteen. This youthful desire was encouraged after attending Sunday school and church services with her mother, Evangelist Winifred Thompson. After viewing the performance of the young people’s choir, she desired t be a part of that ministry. The Pastor, the late Mother M.E. Bailey made it known to all young people that in order to be a member of this group, one must be baptized in Jesus name and receive the in-filling of the Holy Ghost. In the year 1965, Sister Paulette was baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost nine months later.
As this young lady continued her walk with God, she became a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Brooklyn, N.Y. under the leadership of the late, Bishop H.J. Taylor. It is in this ministry that her Pastor detected her spiritual ambitions and selected her to work in several areas of the church. This included being a member of the youth and adult choir, youth leader and Evangelist. During this period, her singing, charm, and ladylike character captured the heart of the District Youth President, Minister Lloyd L. Faulknor. In 1980, they were joined together in Holy Matrimony. This dynamic duo brought forth four precious children.
Evangelist Faulknor is a pillar of strength to her husband and has worked tirelessly in the ministry if First United Tabernacle. She has been the church’s administrator since its inception and Sunday School Superintendent for nine years. She has also been an entrepreneur in the Computer Software Industry for eighteen years and a Real Estate agent for thirteen. She attended New York University Division of Business Management, Edward William College of Fairleigh Dickinson University and Morris County College. As First Lady, she is extremely grateful to God for a praying mother, and most of all for the spiritual stability and maturity she has obtained over the past years. In conclusion, she identifies with the songwriter’s testimony, “Through many dangers toil and snares, I’ve already come, it was grace that brought her safe thus far and grace will lead her home.” God Bless!
